The souvenir calendar my wife and I purchased while
visiting San Francisco. Sorry, but I had to re-design Frisco in order to
fit the format I had in mind. As you can see "Bay Side" is much taller and narrow
than the original. This is one work my wife did not like at first, because of
the Foam Board. The foam would bend and curl up on the ends as I applied paint,
so between settings I turned it over and set heavy weights on them to straighten
things out. There are three separate pieces of board, each painted individually
then glued atop one another.
I started to cut out all the windows to see through,
but alas that was too much ...
The whole work sits inside a 2 ½ in deep shadow box,
which the photo doesn't show.
