High Catcher
Taking photographs of artwork is hard it's self to get good reproduction.
Taking a picture of a mirror is even more challenging. Almost as challenging as
creating the original art.
Remember, most glass art is first a sketch, then drawn
backwards then transferred to the glass. Now the glass or mirror in this case has
to be etched.
After etching, my wife and I built the shadow box and added the
backlighting using Christmas tree lights. It took a bit of time to get the light
placement so there were no 'hot' spots and the light showed evenly across the work.
It's also a heavy work, thus it rest atop something and not hanging on the wall.
You can see the little kid on the right hand side. He's got big hopes for that ball
