Blue Rose
Latex on Wood Paneling
My first completed work of 2000. The composition of the Rose required
depth and delicacy; a softness born of strength.
The challenge was using
common hand mixed Latex paint applied to wood paneling to achieve the complexity
of the Rose. Our motto: "Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without",
explains the remnants used from remodeling our home in 1999 to form the canvas
and frame of the work. There is another painting on the backside called
'Collaboration'
